This winter, 3 brave and outrageously silly souls will brave vast and cold deserts for adventure. Fisch, Teddi and Nickers will be crossing the Strzelecki Desert in the middle of Australia by motorcycle. We have no grand reason or drive - simply that we were in need of badenture and an amazing opportunity presented itself to us.
Why not cross a completely empty desert in the WINTER? And then head further south through some amazing national parks and also attempt a WINTER crossing of the alpine way on our motorcycles? Like I said we are 3 outrageously silly souls that have come together from all around the world. Nickers is from South Africa, Teddi is from America and well of course Fisch is the token Aussie. We'll be leaving at the end of June 2015 and will tackle over 5000km of desert, dirt, road and snow (in order of most to least fun-ness...). We'll be reporting in regularly from the track to show you our progress too! I'd also like to share a very special thank you to Gondwana, Kaos Snow, Globetrekker, One Less Nude and XTM who are supporting us to help make this adventure happen. Without these fine people we would be doing this trek cold, wet, naked and out of fuel half way across the desert. Be sure to check in for more updates prior to our departure in a month! It’s the not knowing, the unplanned adventures that really make living special for me.
If you don’t have grand expectations and plans you will never cease to be amazed by the beauty of the world and those that are in it with you. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to some of the most spectacular parts of the world with some of the most amazing people in the world. Yet I never cease to be amazed at how much better it keeps getting with every passing moment. I could never have planned in a million years to be where I am now – and I’m glad I didn’t try.
