After an amazing week of skiing and hanging out in my little mountain paradise that is Park City it's time to hit the real adventure. In the morning I will be driving south in my van and headed to some of the greatest natural wonders on the planet and doing my very best to explore and adventure my way through them.
Though there is no strict itinerary, I do have some benchmarks that I want to hit. They include, Zion, Bryce, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, taking a small detour via the Colorado Rockies, venturing deep into some hidden sandstone squeezes and exploring some truly magnficent waterfalls.
I can't wait to see what misadventures await me over this next month!
Well I've safely landed in the USA and am out and about Badenturing! So far I've picked up the Fisch-mobile, decked her all out complete with shag carpet and zebra curtains, had some wicked backcountry skiing with some gorgeous snow bunnies and been revelling in the chance to play in the winter playground that is Utah and the Wasatch mountains.
Shortly I'll be taking my adventures a little further north to a town called Ogden that has some more amazing mountains to explore the backcountry in and best of all, an indoor skydiving tunnel! It's playtime!
Well numerous late nights, early mornings and long days later and it is finally, nearly time to depart on my American adventure.
The skis are waxed, heaters charged, stove fuel cells evacuated and passport located (finally...). All is set to leave for America in the morning, pick up my van and start the Badenture (badass adventure) for the next few months. Over the coming months be sure to check in as I go from skiing touring and exploring the beautiful Wasatch mountains in Utah, to skydiving, to exploring squeezes and canyons in southern Utah and northern Arizona National parks and finally of course partaking in a month of paramotor training in the lead up to the Icarus Trophy in October.
It's all stations go and I can't wait to begin the adventure. Actually to be honest I can wait for the damn plane ride and LAX, once that rubbish is all over then I'm all in!
Happy days and blue skies!
